Hola from Big Al and Nora! And welcome to Casa Nora, our brand new, island retreat here in El Yaque. We discovered the superior windsurfing conditions here in 2000, and loved it so much that we bought a parcel of land and built our dream home. Now, we get to leave the cold winters of Canada behind for six months of unparalleled windsurfing!
We’d love to have you windsurfers and kitesurfers come and stay with us at our home. Casa Nora is located at the top of the hill (near Casa Rita) and has spectacular views of the ocean, the mountains as well as the lagoon. Our home is set within a gated, secure garden, which features beautiful palm and fruit trees, and a cool and shady “churuatta”. After a full day of sailing, grab a Polarcita (our awesome local beer) and chill out in the hammocks under the churuatta, while the sun sets. Or, grill up a tasty supper on our outdoor traditional Venezuelan barbeque.
We also run the company No Wind No Cry, which offers scooters for rent, runs mountain biking tours throughout the island, and conducts yoga sessions in the mornings. Casa Nora offers a variety of accommodations within a private oasis, that has spectacular views. Our guests can choose to either stay in the main house, which offers two bedrooms suitable for a family of four, or two couples, with a large bathroom, and exclusive use of a fridge (for water, beer, snacks etc). All guests enjoy unlimited use of the garden, with our beautiful ‘churuatta’ and its hammocks, as well as the use of a traditional stone barbeque. Or guests may choose to stay in the ‘casita’, a separate little house with a double bed, bathroom, kitchen, with microwave, fridge, coffee maker etc.
Included in the price is an awesome breakfast of piping hot coffee or tea, fresh fruit, cereal, meat and cheese and bread, pastries, juice and yogurt. Breakfast is served in the ‘churuatta’ every morning at 8:00 – 10 a.m.
USEFUL INFORMATION
1 Our fabulous house-keeper provides house cleaning services three times a week, including washing the linens and towels.etc
2 We do NOT supply beach towels, so please bring your own.
3 For those surfers who bring their own sailing gear, we have plenty of storage space for extra boards, sails, kites, rigs etc.
4 The airport is only a 10 minute drive from El Yaque. The taxi fare should be no more than Bs 25,000 or US $10.00.
PRICING:
Casita: US $60.00/night, including breakfast
Posada rooms: US $45.00/night/room, including breakfast
Prices for reservations longer than a two week stay are open for negotiation.

Reservations will be considered booked after we receive 50% of the accommodation price. The remaining 50% must be deposited into our account two weeks prior to the date of arrival. The guests are responsible for paying the service charges associated with the wire transfers.
A refund will be given to those who cancel their booking 4 weeks prior to arrival.
